Festive Fundraising: Ruth’s Refuge

It’s back baby! Last November/December LFC Brooklyn raised over $2,000 to support an organization that epitomizes you’ll Never Walk Alone, Ruth’s Refuge: the only group devoted to providing furniture and home essentials to refugees and asylum seekers rebuilding their lives in New York City. And with the support of our club and others, they’ve furnished 100 homes for refugees and asylum seekers from 25 countries, since January.

That’s 300 beds and mattresses, 60 table and chair sets, 90 rugs, $30K in kitchen goods & appliances, $18K in linens. Real. Tangible. Impact.

We are so proud to support Ruth’s Refuge once again during their annual fundraising campaign that runs through the end of the year. We know there are no shortage of crises in the world and Ruth’s Refuge has mobilized fast to welcome the many newcomers with love, comfort, care and dignity.
